We wil travel through the Andes visiting Cusco the Inca City, Sacred Valley, the mysterious Machu Picchu, and finally Lake Titicaca. This jorney will take us through different historical periods, culture and diversity.

Day 1 Arrive in Lima

Arrive in the Lima airport, where our staff waits to transfer you to your hotel of your choice.

Day 2 Lima – Cusco – City Tour

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Arrive and our staff will transfer you to your hotel. Rest and enjoy an early lunch. In the afternoon we will start the tour of the city of the Incas. Walk on the cobble stone streets visiting the Cathedral in the Plaza de Armas and Qoricancha (Inca Sun Temple). Afterwards, drive above the city, to visit the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. Return to Cusco.

If you choose Private Service (more expensive but worth it) – Pick your departure time, exclusive visit to the Central San Pedro Market where the locals shop, at your pace, and drop off at your hotel.

Day 3 Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes (Mahupicchu Town)

In the morning we will take off from your hotel and drive to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first visit will be of the Pisac ruins (2972m/9751ft) admiring the numerous agricultural terraces and the ruins.  Then drive down to the town of Pisac and shop in the artisan market with many stalls selling many colorful handicrafts. Thereafter, we drive to Urubamba to have a delicious buffet lunch. After lunch, we continue to one of the original Inca towns of Ollantaytambo (2792m/9160ft) built by the Inca Pachacutec.  Visit the archeological site which has many structures such as the Temple of the Sun and more.  In the afternoon we board the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (Mahupicchu Town) (2080m/6820ft) to spend the night.

Note: If you choose Private Service (more expensive but worth it) – Pick your departure time, exclusive visit of the Awanacancha weaving center, Pisac sun temple, and enjoy the have a more in depth visit of the ruins, stops for pictures, and at your pace.

Day 4 Machu Picchu – Cusco

This morning after a very early breakfast, take the bus up to the magical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Enjoy a professional guided walking tour of the grand Machu Picchu (2400m/7874ft), visiting the extraordinary Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Three Windows features huge trapezoidal windows and much more. Then you will have time to do other hikes like Huayna Picchu, Machupicchu Mountain Peak, Sungate or walk over to the Inca Bridge.  After a fabulous visit return to town to eat lunch before boarding the train to Poroy. Arrive and our staff will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 5 Cusco – Puno

After, an early breakfast transfer from your Cusco hotel to the bus station to begin our trip to Puno. We’ll travel along the Vilcanota River Valley. Along this route we will visit Andahuaylillas with its colonial chapel known as the Sistine Chapel of South America. Then continue to Raqchi for a visit of the famous Wirachocha Temple. We will enjoy lunch in Sicuani.  After lunch, we travel to La Raya (4321m/14172ft) for a short visit catching stunning vistas of the Cordillera Vilcanota. Later we will visit the Pucara museum before continuing our drive to Puno. Reception in Puno and transfer to your hotel.

Day 6 Lake Titicaca – Uros – Taquile

Early transfer to the docks to catch the local ferry for your journey to Uros, the floating islands, made from piles of totora reeds. From here we continue on to Taquile Island, one of the communities still living under the old Andean laws. We’ll admire their beautiful knitting techniques – finest of the region – and learn of their traditional Quechua customs. In the afternoon, return to Puno and transfer to your hotel.

Day 7 Puno – Silustani – Juliaca – Lima

Transfer to the Juliaca airport for your flight to Lima. En route we will visit the Silustani Ruins. Arrive to the airport for your flight to Lima.

This morning we will visit the City of Kings. Later on in the day transfer to the airport for connection to your international flight.

    WHAT TO BRING

    The area where we are going to do our adventure half day tour is in Cusco and its surroundings. Despite of the time of the year, there are always seasonal variations: it can be sunny and still cold or rainy but dry and kind of mild. Tourists must be ready and equipped to enjoy their tour under safe conditions. The following packing list gathers items that you will need for this tour.

    Clothing

    • Wear clothes in layers: It is hard to guess what the weather will be like, that’s why layering is really helpful. Make sure you are using wickable clothes, cotton ones keep much moisture on them.
    • Use short or long-sleeved t-shirts for your first layer.
    • Pack lightweight jackets of fleece or microfleece for the second layer.
    • Wear a waterproof jacket for the third layer.
    • Carry gloves to protect your hands from the cold.
    • Wear hiking boots or trekking shoes.
